What is InstaCash?

InstaCash is the first App in Malaysia which allows you to get an accurate quotation for your used smartphones within 60 seconds. Our friendly courier will pick-up your smartphone at a location of your convenience and cash is paid into your bank account on-the-spot!

Where can I download InstaCash?

InstaCash is available on both AppStore & Google PlayStore.

How many phones can I trade-in?

There is no limit to the trade-in.

What are the requirements for InstaCash trade-in?

  1. Only smartphones are accepted for InstaCash trade-in.
  2. You must be the legal owner of the trade-in device.
  3. Your trade-in device must not be tied to any existing contract with Telcos.
  4. The phone must not be network and IMEI blocked, reported as stolen or counterfeit.
  5. We only accept devices that are unlocked from iCloud and Google accounts.

Can I trade in a defective device on InstaCash?

Yes, we accept defective smartphones as long as you are able to install InstaCash and complete the diagnostic process. Price quotation would differ depending on the defects of your device

Can I trade-in devices that cannot be switched on?

Yes, you can. Please contact our InstaCash customer service for assistance and a quotation at 011 6527 3417

What if my trade-in device is not listed in the “InstaCash” App?

For unlisted devices, you may also contact our customer service for inquiries at 011 6527 3417. We will try to assist you accordingly.

What if I prefer to trade-in my device face-to-face instead of online?

If you prefer to trade-in your devices in-person, you may walk into our associating retail partners stores and proceed to trade-in there with the assistance of their staffs. Here are our participating partners: Celcom, Digi, Maxis, Machine, Switch, Harvey Norman, Samsung, and Senheng.



Is the quoted trade-in value confirmed?

We aim to provide an accurate trade-in value based on the diagnostic results and declaration of device conditions InstaCash App. Our courier shall then verify the device condition at the point of pick-up and provide you with finalised trade-in value. In case of any changes in the price offer, you may choose to continue the trade-in transaction or to cancel.

How to use the “InstaCash” App?

  1. Login the “InstaCash” App using your phone number or email address.
  2. Click on “Start Trade-in” to diagnose your device.
  3. Complete a series of tests to access the functionalities of your device.
  4. Declare the physical and screen conditions of your device.
  5. Place an order and enter your personal details for pick up.
  6. Enter your bank account details for payment from InstaCash.
  7. Submit your order.
  8. InstaCash Customer Service will contact you within 24 hours upon placement of order.

How soon will my pick-up be scheduled?

You will be contacted by our customer service within 24 hours upon placement of InstaCash order on a weekday. Weekend orders shall be contacted on the next working day.

How do I get my trade-in payment?

Your trade-in payment will be made into your bank account immediately upon pick-up of your trade-in device.

What do I need to do before handing over my trade-in device?

  • Back up your data such as contacts and important files that you do not want to lose.
  • Ensure that SIM and any memory cards are removed before handing over the trade-in device. Any SIM or memory cards found will be destroyed to ensure that your personal information remains secured.
  • For iPhones, remove your Apple ID and passcode.
  • For Androids, remove your Google Account from your device. Ensure that you have disabled any security lock settings on your device as well.
  • Do not delete or factory reset your device before our courier arrives as InstaCash application is required during the pick-up process.

Do I need to provide my device accessories to InstaCash?

No. Please provide your device only without any accessories.



What happens to my traded-in device?

Your traded-in device will be refurbished, recycled, and resold.

What happens to the data on my traded-in devices?

  • Your device will undergo a Data Erasure process (complies with International Standard DoD 5220.22-M) to ensure all data is permanently deleted and unrecoverable.
  • Any personal data left in the device will not be recoverable.

I haven't received my payment yet, what should I do?

Always ensure that you have received the payment before handing over your device to our InstaCash personnel. Call our Customer Service Centre at 011-6527 3417 to check the status of the payment. If the payment has been made, our customer service will provide you with the payment slip upon request.

How do I cancel an order on InstaCash?

Can I do a walk-in for InstaCash trade-in instead?

Yes, you may walk-in to any of our CompAsia stores or our partner store. To find out the nearest store located to you, please contact our customer support at 011 6527 3417

Do you have any other requirements before trading in my device with InstaCash?

We will need to snap a picture of your IC/license to protect InstaCash against potential stolen devices or blacklisted devices.
